At Running Coach Ireland, we combine time-tested principles with adaptive, modern coaching delivered through TrainingPeaksāa browser and phone-based app that syncs with most modern running watches. Your training is structured, flexible, and built around your goals, life, and feedback.
ā What You Need Before Starting
To get the most from coaching, we ask that you have a few basics in place:
- Youāre injury-free and can commit to 4 or more days of running per week
- Youāve set up a TrainingPeaks account and synced it with your running watch
- You have a clear goal (a race or a fitness objective)
- Youāre 8ā12 weeks out from that goal (minimum)
- You can already run 15ā20 minutes continuously three to four times per week
(If not, we recommend beginning with a simple walk/run program before starting coaching)
š¦ Choosing Your Coaching Plan
We offer two coaching tiersāGold and Platinumāto suit different support needs and preferences.
- Gold is ideal if you prefer a consistent plan with structured check-ins and weekly feedback.
- Platinum is for those who want more day-to-day interaction, proactive adjustments, and closer collaboration.

š What Happens When You Sign Up?
Once youāve confirmed your plan and start date, we:
- Assign the best-suited coach (RenƩ or Eoin) based on your goals and current intake availability
- Send you a welcome email with instructions to:
- Set up a standing order for your chosen subscription (monthly, quarterly, six-monthly, or annually)
- Add your coach in TrainingPeaks
- Add our phone number to WhatsApp for direct support
- Fill in your Athlete Questionnaire
- Schedule your intro call
- 30 minutes for Gold plan
- 60 minutes for Platinum plan
š What Happens After Onboarding?
Your Training Journey
We begin with a few short fitness tests to establish your personal training zones and pace guidelines.
From there, we build your plan week-by-week or month-by-month, using a method we call Reactive Planningāadjusting based on your feedback, progress, and life context.
Staying in Touch
You choose how you want to interactāwe work flexibly to support your preferred rhythm. Here’s how communication works:
